About Erika Footman
I coach creatives at all levels, Independent/DIY Artists, vocalists and musical hobbyists to get a stronger understanding of their own creative essence and to truly and fully believe in their own artistry.
I reflect back to each creative the possibilities and abilities within themselves through varying ways dependent on each individuals needs this could be; frank conversations, exercises (vocal/coaching), planning and at times movement.
Within these sessions I use my experience of 20+ years as a professional vocalist, Independent Artist and Industry Professional. Ensuring that your confidence and autonomy is always at the forefront so that you can continue confidently on your own.
I have been lecturing at various music Universities (ICMP, BIMM, ACM) for the past 12 years and curated masterclasses across the world specialising in Performance, Creative Artistry, Song Writing, and Vocals .
In 2009 I released my debut album on my own label as iMMa, which sparked my love and passion for being an Independent Artist having full creative control and being able to mould my career for lifestyle and passion for music. As an Independent Artist I sometimes found that a lot of the decision making could get quite lonely, procrastination could creep in, mistakes were made and I never received any productive criticism to further my progress and career and it could feel like a battle. This is something I didn’t want to happen to other artists. Over the years artists have asked me for guidance and this has really sparked my love for coaching and mentoring independent/DIY artists, in the hope that they won’t feel as unsupported as I did at times.
